Jesus is the sweetest name I know...

There have been names that I have loved to hear,
But never has there been a name so dear
To this heart of mine as the name divine,
The precious, precious name of Jesus

there is no name in heaven above,
that we should give such love
as the blessed name; let us all aclaim
That wondrous, glorious name of Jesus,

and someday I shall see Him face to face
to thank and praise Him for His wondrous grace
which He gave to me when He made me free
the blessed Son of God called Jesus..

Jesus is the sweetest name I know,
And He’s just the same as His lovely name,
And that’s’ the reason why I love Him so
O Jesus is the sweetest name I know

I’m currently reading “Then sings my soul” by Robert Morgan and I learned to appreciate more of hymns now…from words to music…  This one over here was made by Lela B. Long.
She was led to Christ when she was sick and almost did not have long to live. It’s amazing how God sustained the tune of her life and even use her for His greater glory…

Jesus is truly the sweetest name I know….~_~

Welcoming the month of December... a merry Christmas season to all...~_~

Much love, ♥

It's Bonifacio Day!!!

It’s November 30, 2010 and today is Bonifacio day (a national hero) I searched about the life of Andres Bonifacio and I found out that his remains are not yet discovered. Hmmm..

Well.. I’m not going to tell you about the heroic deeds of Andres Bonifacio here, but parallel to that I knew another “Bonifacio” who’s celebrating his birthday today.  Happy Birthday Tito Jun!!! You are heroic in the lives of many people around you.. especially in your family…

May God bless you more to be a blessing EVEN MORE to the people that surrounds you… A very blessed birthday to you!~_~

Review: Then Sings My Soul Special Edition by Robert J. Morgan

As a music lover, the title “Then Sings My Soul” caught my attention. Then Sings My Soul Special Edition by Robert J. Morgan is a 150 collection of Christmas, Easter, and ALL-TIME favorite hymns plus stories behind the songs. You will be surprised that the songs we joyfully sing on church pews have their own sorrowful background. It just manifests that through Jesus we find true JOY!

“Then Sings My Soul” gives me a MUCH greater appreciation for hymns. I’m amazed on how the writers, although they live years apart still exclaims the same message about Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection. They remind me of the writers of the Bible, they don’t know each other, lived miles and years apart, yet they carry the same Word.  I’m also amazed by how beautifully they made the songs from words to music.

Morgan reveals the authors’ life stories… from good to bad, from struggles to joy… It inspire me to make my own hymns as well… one like the ones wrote by the writers of hymn from this book, all have Biblical truths. I would definitely share this book to my Pastor and church friends…and share the writer stories too! A great testimony for everyone!

B.U.S.Y.

Some say that being “Busy” means you’re B.U.S.Y
(Being Under Satan’s Yoke) but to me it’s the contrary,…
well…I’m  B.U.S.Y (Being Under Spirit’s Yield) It was our church 30th anniversary yesterday, and I rarely stayed home since Friday. I have been busy with a lot of preparations, and outreaches… Tiring but joyful….I tried to blog during weekdays but I got problems posting… so I spent the whole week keeping in mind the things that happened. I hope I can recall everything that happened though.

I think it was days before the preparation when I made myself a logo for Seven Cups of Rice here it is...

I made it for my Entrecard profile business card, original photo taken by me.

I also got my free book from Booksneeze this morning.. The title of the book is “Then Sings my Soul.” By Robert J. Morgan. I'm going to write my review about it soon..:~_~

The Latest Great News...

Manny "PACMAN" Pacquiao won over Antonio "MENACING MINUS" Margarito. ( I'm sorry guys I just don't know his alias honestly.:P) and THAT is the latest great news in the country... Every Filipinos are rejoicing for the eight title win of Manny Pacquiao....Good fight for Margarito though, he remained standing till the twelfth round...although Pacquiao dominated all rounds (except 6th)  it doesn't change the fact that Margarito is a big hitter with a good chin.

I watched NBN news last three days ago, a day after the Pacquiao vs. Margarito fight. The show is " People, Politics,Power". Two boxing sports analysts, along with the host, discussed about Pacquiao's 12 round unanimous decision win. When this final words by sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz ringed into my ears, "..I remember, my dear friend said there are three great Filipinos of our time... Carlos P. Romulo, Cory Aquino, and Manny Pacquiao...and I believe he's right."

WBC President also said Manny(as a boxer) is like from "another planet", the way he fight, his respect and his compassion for his opponents... but above all this he's still the same humble poor boy from General Santos City. That boy, who made his way up seven more divisions,(that makes it eight), remained down on his feet.In his prime, but remained humble...
Almost all of us think Manny Pacquiao is great, for us Manny Pacquiao winning a boxing match is the greatest news of all... but did you know that there is much greater (here's my redundancy again, but I mean it that way cause I want to emphasize something eh) MUCH GREATER NEWS than Pacquiao winning over a brawl... the great news is.... Jesus Christ won his fight against Satan to save you...yes...to save you..

Manny Pacquiao might have his own reasons to fight, maybe to help his people? to make himself known? or to be an example to other poor Filipinos who have dreams to excel... Manny has his own level of care to his people but nothing compares to the care and compassion Jesus Christ gave when He died on the cross for us... He defeated death... after three days He rose back to life, and ascended to heaven..Such a winning Savior!

As for me, Pacquiao is a great fighter but he's nothing compare to my Jesus who fought a fight that involves me (all of us.) and won it!  Pacquiao may win more fights and people will rejoice for it, but I rejoice only to the one who deserve all the praise--- Jesus, My Savior.

MANNY PACQUIAO VS. ANTONIO MARGARITO

“With our strategy, we are not worried about the size,I believe I can fight the bigger guys even though I am small compared to them. We always believe in our talent.”- Manny Pacquiao

It is quite obvious that Antonio Margarito (right) has his height and reach advantage over Manny Pacquiao (left) but  Pacquiao has overwhelming advantage in speed compared to Margarito’s massive size advantage. Margarito is a volume puncher who loves to go to the body and a hard body attack is one of the best ways to combat speed.

Margarito is notorious for having a strong chin and relentlessly stalking his opponent, but he is extraordinarily slow and throws wide punches. He’ll be vulnerable to Pacquiao’s lightning fast hands unless he doubles his jab, uses it frequently and shortens his other punches.

I guess its going to be a great match. I just hope Margarito's new trainer won't get too nervous and end up putting another knuckle pad in Margarito's hand wraps!

Menacing Minus

I'm so much entertained by the fact that Margarito looks like one Mascot in Breaking Point Foundation’s Captain Plus presentation--Menacing Minus!

Let's just keep it a secret whose under the mask. I'm sure he won't forgive me for posting this picture. Haha!

I'm excited for the upcoming fight between MANNY PACQUIAO VS. ANTONIO MARGARITO!!! (But I won't miss church because of this. ;)) I'm just excited to know who'll win. Will Pacman prove to everyone that he'll still be the greatest boxer in our generation? (hmm..I'm starting to sound bias here.) Well...judging by his strategies and his inborn fighting ability, I'm going for Pacman... My kababayan...;)

"BER"

What does "BER"  mean to us?

Filipinos would all agree with me that when the "BER" month starts (September-December) there starts the Christmas season.

Streets are starting to light up with Christmas lights all over, store owners are designing their shops with Christmas colors, hearing Christmas carols everywhere, and houses are starting  to pull out their own " parol " (Christmas lanterns)

Actually, my family is one of  90% who are just excited when BER starts... and to show you, right here is the picture of our Christmas 2010...--->

Can you imagine that? That even though there are still three months to go, we're counting down the days already...You see how excited we are in celebrating the day of Christ's birth? That everyone in the country is thinking about Jesus?

Well, the fact is....I'm just hoping that everyone's thinking that way... Cause not everyone in the country is anticipating the day of Christ's birth. Not all of them know  the true meaning of Christmas...

Who will tell them?  Who can show them the star that leads to Christ?
