"BER"

What does "BER"  mean to us?

Filipinos would all agree with me that when the "BER" month starts (September-December) there starts the Christmas season.

Streets are starting to light up with Christmas lights all over, store owners are designing their shops with Christmas colors, hearing Christmas carols everywhere, and houses are starting  to pull out their own " parol " (Christmas lanterns)

Actually, my family is one of  90% who are just excited when BER starts... and to show you, right here is the picture of our Christmas 2010...--->

Can you imagine that? That even though there are still three months to go, we're counting down the days already...You see how excited we are in celebrating the day of Christ's birth? That everyone in the country is thinking about Jesus?

Well, the fact is....I'm just hoping that everyone's thinking that way... Cause not everyone in the country is anticipating the day of Christ's birth. Not all of them know  the true meaning of Christmas...

Who will tell them?  Who can show them the star that leads to Christ?

Thanks Katie, my greatest prayer is for people to realize the true meaning of Christmas, -the birth of our Savior.:) far beyond ornaments, and Christmas carols...

shy butterfly... this post makes my heart ache for 'home' and all our church family there in Davao. We have not even begun to decorate for Christmas. Over here Thanksgiving comes first. The Christmas music comes out then... but I have been playing it early this year. :-D
