Just awhile ago, I ate Adobong Bituka ng Manok and Atay ( chicken intestines and liver), and Tokwa't Baboy (Tofu and pork) for dinner. My daddy made it for us.
Every Sunday nights, seemed to be a reunion for the family since all of us stays at home. It's always a night to look forward to. We will think of what food we want to eat and daddy will make it for us.Daddy used to always cook for us when we're little. Maybe one reason why I love rice so much is because of him! He made us to love it! He's the best chef in the world!
Our favorite is his "Higadilyo". I don't know why they call it that way, its like Menudo but the difference is, it has pickles in it. It really taste good!!! Especially when stocked in the refrigerator for a couple of days.( Oopps! you might be thinking, we love left-overs? Yes,we do!)
Another is his "Isdang Kinilaw". Yes,its raw fish cooked in vinegar. When daddy makes it there's not even a hint of fishiness. That's one of his "kitchen magic".
Others we love are his Adobong Tuyo (its not what you think it is. Its not salted fish,its meat but no sabaw, that's why its tuyo dry.) Litsong Paksiw, Paksiw na Isda, Bulanglang, Crispy Pata, and a whole lot more! and ooohh.. His barbecues are the best!!!
Indeed, for me, and for us... Daddy is the best chef in the world!
