You are in a fight!

You are in a fight.

Have you  watched a wrestling fight on TV? Have you ever experienced watching Mixed Martial Arts fight live? Have you seen Manny "the Pacman" Pacquiao win through a knockout? If yes, I want you to imagine this scene; Imagine you're inside the ring, while the crowd is looking at you, four muscular guys came in and their all going to fight you. One foe is enough to overpower you. What more if there are three more? What would you do? Who would you ask for help?
A fighter needs to train himself in order to win battles. the first thing a fighter needs to study  his enemy's schemes If you know who your enemy is,and if you have found out all you can about him, you have a better chance of victory over him. Know your enemy.

As a Christian,we're all in a fight. Our old sinful self will most of the time rule over us if we're not aware. That's why we have to fight against our own sinful nature. How can we do that?
  • Your first enemy is TEMPTATION, he will try to whisper something that may lead to your destruction.Do you know what I mean? "Go on do it, everyone does it." that little voice says inside of you "You'll enjoy it and you'll get a way with it. No one will ever know."  Your old nature wants you to tell a lie, lose your temper, steal something,  use drugs or alcohol. Every Christian faces this enemy. We are all tempted by our old nature to do wrong things.Temptation is not a sin, but when you give in to it, if you quit fighting against it,then there comes sin.
  • SIN is a tagged team with temptation. He is your second enemy. You can get rid of sin if you won over temptation at first round. You can win over temptation though, The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ our Saviour is able to help you when you are tempted (Hebrews 2:18) so that you will not give in to temptation and sin.
There you go.You already met two of your opponents. Two more to go.... Are you tired fighting? You will meet the other two later. They're as eager as the first two so get ready.
